Essential Scan terms of use

These terms cover your use of the Essential Scan app, published by Joao Vitor Humenhuk Achutti, a sole trader, 38 Allenby Street, Tel Aviv-Jaffa 6332512, Israel.

What Essential Scan is

Essential Scan saves the PDFs and photos you share to it, files them in folders and finds details such as dates, amounts and reference numbers, on your device. Folders and details are found automatically and can be wrong or missing. Check anything important against the document. Essential Scan is not financial, legal or medical advice.

Actions, checklists, and exports

Actions and reminders are organizational tools. Notification delivery depends on device settings and iOS. Checklists are editable starting points and do not establish legal, tax, medical, or insurance requirements. Verify what the recipient needs. Exporting a packet does not send it, file a claim, or submit an application. Exports are not password protected.

Free and paid use

Essential Scan reads 15 documents for free, with no time limit. The free library includes actions, collections, page tools, and exports. Essential Scan Pro removes the reading limit. It is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase.

Subscriptions

Payment is charged to your Apple Account. A subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in Settings on your device. Where a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial.

If a subscription ends

New documents past the free 15 are saved but not read until Pro is active again. Every document you saved, and every detail already found, stays on your device.

Your content

What you put into Essential Scan is yours. It is stored on your device and leaves it only when you share it. The publisher claims no rights over it and does not hold a copy.

Refunds

Purchases are made through Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under the terms of the App Store. Write to essentialscan@humenhuk.com if something has gone wrong and we will help where we can.

Liability

Essential Scan is provided as it is. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, liability is limited to the amount you have paid for Essential Scan in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the State of Israel, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
